This post is NOT for legacy boxes (before the Spectrum merger) Since Spectrum has made TV STB's as well as the D3.1 modems/Wave 2 Routers with their branding on it instead of a visible manufacturer and you have this equipment, this little guide is to decipher what box you may have. EDIT HISTORY: 3/2/19 - Added Arris 201/101 WB 1.0 3/4/19 - Corrected Sagemcom typo RAC2V1K -> RAC2V1S 3/4/19 - Added edit history 3/13/19 - Removed 101A/201A 3/19/19 - Cleaned up some typos 5/8/19 - Added RAC2V1U Router A * beside any brand box/modem/router is MY personal preference. Not necessarily the best box but i've had good personal experiences with them. As of this post date (3/2/19) most if not all spectrum service areas have worldboxes. | StevenB Premium Member 2019-Mar-9 2:21 pm I returned mine. You will notice a bit of pausing when you have streams open and playing online games. It’s no where near as bad as the puma6 but it’s not worth it. I use the modem for voice and my mb8600 as data on my 400/20 plan and it’s flawless. |

| Green5 Member 2019-Mar-9 11:52 pm Has a total of 6 World Boxes; some were 101-T others were 101-H...all but one had issues. Some would never display a picture on my TV unless I rebooted them, other would display PLEASE WAIT and I will eventually see a Picture...maybe 45 to 60 seconds. Turned everyone back to Spectrum and got Cisco Boxes....all 6 Cisco...no issues. Clearly the World Boxes made exclusively for Spectrum are not the quality of Arris/Cisco...etc. |

Spectrum told us twice we would have to pay a $50 extra fee for having voice on a separate modem. Is there a separate fee for yours? Also yes, I can tell. We're gonna swap it out soon. |

But when they started issuing those boxes with Spectrum Guide non stop issues everyday with the new platform. |

With the wave 2 routers they are. It looks just like the other two models. The F@st 5260's are no longer being given out. |

1 edit | motorola870 Member 2019-Mar-13 4:13 am there is no ARRIS 101 and 201 world boxes. Please remove that. ARRIS only make 110A and 210A. The World Box 1.0 was locked to Cisco and Humax as they had only capability for Powerkey and NDS based encryption. The reason why Motorola headends did not get world boxes for almost 2 years after the merger. To be honest has anyone even seen a Technicolor 110T or 210T? I think Spectrum may have terminated their contract or is having issues with the boxes. I am wondering if they cutout Technicolor due to the costs of having 3 suppliers or just decided on Humax for Cisco headends and ARRIS for ARRIS headends. I honestly think the extra encryption keys have been postponed indefinately until they can get the regional data centers cleared of major bugs not to mention Spectrum guide is 9 months behind features in TWC and BHN systems. They just now got Spectrum guide rolling out with older boxes that were running Navigator. The transition to Spectrum guide is full steam and don't be surprised if the next Navigator update removes StartOver along with the iGuide R32 upgrade for existing boxes. |

Spectrum Guide still does not have remote management. That is the reason why they can not remotely reboot the box and is the most likely reason why we are missing features like caller id on TV. |

Routers are not rated by the DOCSIS standards, modems are. What tier of internet are you getting? If you're getting standard, then I'd suggest you get your own AC router because there would be a router rental charge for the router. However, if you are getting Ultra or Gig, they do not charge the router rental fee. Pretty sure they're mainly handing out their Wave 2 routers at this point, but you might wind up with a Sagemcom F@st 5260 as well. Modems are either Hitron (E31H2V1/E31N2V1), Technicolor (E31T2V1), or Ubee (E31U2V1). They are all DOCSIS 3.1, and only the Ubee allows for customer access to diagnostics including signal levels and modem logs. |

Do you have the instructions for access? Spectrum only seems to tell you how to log in to the router. I was surprised when the tech switched out my Askey Wave 2 for a Sagemcom Wave 2, that the Sagemcom had a much nicer interface than the Askey. Figured they would be the same. |

| rseiler Member 2019-Mar-28 12:45 am I'd be curious what he ended up getting. It's disappointing to hear that they're still sending out the TM1602. If it's not that, do you expect it to be one of the two or three mentioned in the top post? When I asked a rep recently about what modems are being sent out, he said, of course, that there's no way to know, but he mostly sees Cisco DPC300X and Motorola SB612X, which is very surprising given the current year. |
